More rain, constant enough to pretty much put a "damper" on any progress on both lots. But, lots of news today about works being purchased, gifted, and loaned to the Olympic Sculpture Park, much of it by Jon and Mary Shirley, and Virginia and Bagley Wright.

A glass bridge titled "Seattle Cloud Cover" by Teresita Fernandez will cross the tracks to the terraced waterfront portion of the park. New York's Richard Serra's recent 2003 work "Wake" will have a dominant prescence in the planned evergreen garden.

Among othe artists announced are Seattle's sculptor and designer Roy McMakin and photographer Glenn Rudolph; New York's Cai Guo-Qiang and Mark Dion; Mark Di Suvero; British abstract sculptor Sir Anthony Caro, modernist Ellsworth Kelly, architect, painter and sculptor Tony Smith, and others.
